The heritage golf resort course
The Heritage Golf Club golf course has 18 holes. Each hole offers a different length and difficulty to test players’ skills.
The course offers 5 tee positions, Gold for Professionals (6,498m); White (Tournament Tee) is 6,121m; Blue is for Men (5,740m); Green is for Seniors & Ladies Tournament Tee (5,214m) and finally Red is for Ladies (4,761m).
Below is a detailed description of each hole:
Hole 1 – offers a great opportunity to start the course with a high score. It is a reasonable length and of medium difficulty, allowing golfers to warm up and familiarise themselves with the terrain. The winds are deceptive so be careful which clubs you choose. This is a par 4.
Hole 2 – This par 5 has an undulating green which is the most difficult part of the course.
Hole 3 – This par 3 has a green that slopes from back to front. Be careful how hard you hit it!
Hole 4 – This par 4 offers a good length and moderate difficulty. Keep to the left!
Hole 5 – This par 3 is a challenge for the golfer with a valley to avoid on the lower left hand side. It can be difficult to hit the green in one shot, so it’s important to take into account the surrounding obstacles to score well.
Hole 6 – a fairly straight par 4 with treacherous winds. Stay to the right for the best chance.
Hole 7 – A long par 5, you’ll need at least 3 shots to reach the green and finish the hole. Concentrate on a fluid swing and accurate execution to score well.
Hole 8 – This 170-metre par 3 hole is a challenge for golfers with an increased degree of difficulty. Don’t hesitate to go left and play the whole distance.
Hole 9 – This 385-metre par 4 is played with the wind often at your back. It’s a good idea to keep your iron below 6.
Hole 10 – PAR 4 with a bend to the left. Make sure you choose your club carefully!
Hole 11 – PAR4, this time curved to the right. Don’t hesitate to place yourself on the left of the green to finish the hole.
Hole 12 – is a PAR 4, so take your time getting to the green and away from the bunkers.
Hole 13 – is a fairly short PAR 3, so try to aim for the middle of the green. This is a hole that will easily increase your score.
Hole 14 – A long PAR 5, make sure you put some power into your shots or you won’t reach the green in 2. It’s an interesting hole that’s on the level.
Hole 15 is a short PAR 3, so watch out for the wind.
Hole 16 is a particularly complicated PAR 4 with a sloping tee (depression). Take care when choosing your club and your strategy for attacking the course.
Hole 17 – This fairly long par 4 and penultimate hole on the course curves to the right, but don’t be swayed by the treacherous trajectory and don’t hesitate to aim left.
Hole 18 – The last hole on this magnificent course, which finishes in style with a PAR 5 to prolong the pleasure. Choose tactics for this last hole.
